How Does a Cyclone Work?
Cyclones operate using a simple four-step process.
-
Dirty air with trim waste paper arrives at the middle of the cyclone from the finishing lines.
-
As the air spins around and downward inside the cyclone, it slows down, causing the paper waste to drop to the bottom of the cyclone.
-
Paper exits the bottom of the cyclone and is compressed into bales for recycling.
-
Air that is now free of paper is pulled upward through the center of the cyclone by a return air fan.
